Review:
There isn't much story to be had, and even then the movie was a decline from start to finish with the end attempting a record for number of tropes.
This is a one trick pony with Jude Law not playing the typical Jude Law character for once. This time he plays fat Jude Law. He is obnoxious and outrageous as Dom. That's great for five minutes, not so much for an entire movie when Jude hams it up for the duration. Somebody this movie must have thought, "Who needs a story when we have fat Jude Law? If he chews scenery, maybe no one will notice." I noticed. If you want to punish yourself for 2 hours, this is an effective option.
The movie knows audiences won't like Dom (or Jude Law for that matter) and shoehorns in a plot about his estranged daughter and a grand kid. Who cares! Is this a gangster movie or a family drama?
I'm happy for Jude that he has more range than anyone previously thought. Maybe one day he'll play a likeable character.
This movie sucks!
