Plot:
Marcus Luttrell and his team are stranded without support while trying to capture a Taliban leader.

Review:
Directed by the Peter Berg, the man that brought us Battleship, a movie inspired by one of the most boring board games ever created.
After that movie, anything Berg did would be an improvement. That's how low he set the bar, and in that regard Lone Survivor is a resounding success. The problem is we're comparing this to Battleship and everybody loses with that comparison.

This stars Marky Mark. I suppose he's a credible actor now, but I'll always remember him for his musical contributions to the world. Thank you Mr. Wahlberg for Good Vibrations.

This succumbs to my pet peeve of showing a really intense scene from the end of the movie at the beginning just to fake excitement and intensity. It's always unnecessary as the beginning of the film should stand on its own. If the beginning of your movie is boring, pick a different place to start. It's a cheat to just show one of the final scenes.

These Navy SEALs are four brothers that experience much pain and little gain as they lose communications and flee attackers in Afghanistan. Somehow Wahlberg is the last one standing, I suppose so he can play hero in more true story based Peter Berg films.
