Plot:
A former concert pianist, now oil rig worker, visits  upper class family.

Review:

Jack is a self loathing character in an incredibly slow movie. I don't care if it is Jack Nicholson. Slow is slow. He gets to chew some scenery, visit his home and then he leaves.

Nicholson doesn't like his family, doesn't fit in anywhere, and is looking for meaning. The movie wants you to think the lack of plot is due to this movie being intellectual. Don't let it fool you.
