Review:
Want a fun and uplifting movie? This isn't it. This has got to be one of the most depressing movies ever made. I'm sure Tom Hanks fans were shocked if they were expecting another Tom Hanks comedy. How many people expected this to be a sequel to Sleepless in Seattle? Oh, did Mr. Hanks and his son move to another city? Does he start a new romance?
Denzel and Hanks are in a league of their own as no one understand the disease and are content to remain ignorant. While we're meant to think Denzel might lose the case, I never bought it. There is no way Denzel could lose a case. He's unstoppable. His charisma is off the charts. Obviously he wins the case and the glory of defending Tom Hanks. You just can't put Denzel on the case and make me think he might lose.
This movie is a showcase of the worst of humanity and an outdated time. It's a depressing ride into a deep, dark pit of despair. This is not what I want from a movie. Leave the depressing topics to documentaries.
This movie sucks!
