Review:
Another Clint Eastwood western, like we don't have enough of those. He's an outlaw and war monger, how unique. The western is a dead genre. I don't know if Eastwood killed it, but he did a lot of westerns.
He doesn't want the war to end, so when the Confederates surrender, he refuses. He believes the South shall rise again. He kills a bunch of people and is on the run. I guess he didn't think that through.
This leads up to that final battle with the bad guy. Where else did you think this was going to go? Old Eastwood doesn't even need bullets, that or he can't remember how many shots he has loaded in his pistols. He keeps pulling the trigger just to confirm the gun is out of ammo, then resorts to more medieval measures.
If you're concerned about the killing and possible blood, don't worry. The wounds look fake and the blood is so bright I wonder if the effects department has ever seen blood. Maybe they didn't have a fistful of dollars to get the good stuff.
Josey Wales brings us that meaning of the story moment when he tells us everyone died a little in the war.
This movie sucks!
