Review:
This isn't a movie, this is a film. That's what people will tell you, but that's just the excuse to use when you don't understand a movie and 'the critics' tell you it's supposed to be good.
I could claim this is about identity and the subconscious, but I'd just be blowing smoke. This is a completely bizarre movie that won't make sense no matter how many times you watch it. It's not supposed to, but the big question remains. Why is the entire movie so yellow? Every scene has a distinct yellow tint. Is it subtext that we're watching a urine soaked stinking mess? Is that what this movie is really about? People mindlessly follow recommendations, watch crap and claim it's good even though they didn't understand it, feigning a higher degree of intellectualism than earned?. You may get some, but you won't get me movie!
Jake Gyllenhaal is two people and there's also a giant spider. That pretty much sums it up. Everything else is mindless filler. It doesn't make sense because there is no context or explanation. There is no need to check this out as I've told you everything. I'd rather watch Bubble Boy... twice.
This movie sucks!
